About

Every Mile Counts

Mile Marker started with a simple problem: shopping for endurance sports gear takes forever.

Between running shoe reviews, GPS watch comparisons, and a hundred open browser tabs trying to figure out if you actually need a $700 watch or if the $450 one does the job — it’s a lot. We started Mile Marker to do that research so you don’t have to.

Whether you’re training for your first 5K, gearing up for a century ride, or counting down the weeks to your first triathlon, we’re here to help you find gear that’s actually worth your money — not just whatever has the biggest ad budget.

What We Do

We research, compare, and curate the best gear across running, cycling, triathlon, and swimming. That means:

  • Buyer’s guides for shoes, watches, bikes, and gear across every budget
  • Head-to-head comparisons when you’re stuck deciding between two products
  • Deal alerts so you’re not paying full price for gear you were going to buy anyway
  • Checklists and training resources to help you show up prepared on race day

How We Pick What We Recommend

We’re curators, not a product testing lab. We research specs, pricing, and real user feedback from retailers, brand sites, and community forums like Reddit’s running and triathlon communities to put together recommendations that are genuinely useful — not just whatever pays the highest commission.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. It’s how we keep the content free and keep the lights on. You can read more on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

A Word From the Founder

I’m currently training for my first triathlon myself — which means I’m testing a lot of this advice on my own two feet (and one bike seat) as I go. Mile Marker is built from that same place: figuring out what gear actually matters, what’s worth the splurge, and what’s marketing hype, so you can skip some of the trial and error.
